MOUNT ARROWSMITH GARDEN TOUR - 2011

On Tuesday, May 17th, our spring bus tour organized by Brian Staton saw 37 members and guests travel to
Port Alberni and Nanoose to visit gardens of the Mount Arrowsmith Rhododendron Society (MARS) chapter.
The morning gardens were hosted by Don Bridgen, Claudia Romaniuk and Betty Lawson. Then, following a luncheon in
the garden of Terry & Verna Richmond in Port Alberni, it was off to visit the gardens of Wolfgang & Vivienne Ruff,
Mike & Joan Rich and Mark & Patty Nixon of Nanoose. The tour ended the day with a buffet of finger food,
desserts and wine enjoyed at the garden of Al & Maria Bieberstein. All attending agreed this was a wonderful tour.
Thanks to MARS members Terry Richmond, Linda Derkach and Marilyn Dawson for arranging the gardens to visit and
special thanks to all our garden hosts.
