WRAP-UP PICNIC - 2008
On
June 14th, forty-one NIRS members and guests gathered
at the woodland gardens of Ross and Nancy Munro in Royston for the
annual wrap-up pot luck picnic. Activities included a "name
the trees" contest (won by Dany Fortin), a fun bean bag toss
tournament and a presentation to outgoing President Harry Wright.
Presented by president-elect Diana Scott, Harry was recognized
for his many years on the chapter's executive and ongoing support
for the benefit of all members. Novelty presentations were
made to Bob Smith (a rhodo bumper sticker for his golf cart) and
to Marlene & Dave Crucq (plastic flowers to go with the "plastic"
grass in the garden of their new winter home in San Antonio, Texas.)
Prizes were also award to the first, second and third place teams
in the tournament. Photos of the day's events are shown below.
