WRAP-UP PICNIC - 2009
On
Saturday, June 13th, over 40 NIRS members and guests
gathered at the magnificent home and gardens of Adela and Roberts
Smith
for the annual wrap-up pot luck picnic. This special celebaration
commemorated the founding of the NIRS 25 years ago.
Following a delicious dinner, club founder Harry Wright recapped
some of the events and people that made the NIRS a special chapter
for the past 25 years before cutting a special commerative cake
made by Peter and Antje Guertler.
Additional activities included a rhodo naming game (won by Paul
Wurz's team of Dorothy Law, Pauline Bonney and Jim Clyde)
and a fun bean bag toss tournament with prizes awarded to the first
place team of Noni Godfrey & Dave Crucq and the second place
team of Bernie & Gloria Guyader. Several novelty prizes were
also award for various fun categories.
